Farmhouse 115-C
We all are looking for a picture-perfect life, house, family, and more in this world. Mindfulness is the idea behind the picture that captures us truly. It is the intention and execution of that intention that makes us feel valued, involved, and willing to invest.
The house is an image of balance, symmetry, and a methodological approach. Based on the principle of equilibrium, the client’s daily life is set in harmony via zones, personalized accesses, and the hierarchy of programs. The farmhouse works as a duplex with a basement connected with a shared activity. There are four access points; the main entry leading to the floor above, the guest entry, a private entrance to the living zone, and a side entry descending to the servant quarters.
Into the porte-cochere, the grand entryway with a double-height coffered ceiling opens into an open lobby with views of a private garden. The ground floor has three zones where the guest zone is separated from the living zone by the service zone. The drawing room welcomes the guests in a formal setting at the front adjacent to the dining room. The dining room is directly accessible through the greasy kitchen. Linked amenities like laundry and powder room sit next to the kitchen. The private garden lies in a pocket amidst the double-height entry foyer, drawing room, and the private lobby with a fish tank adding to the view from the drawing area. The open kitchen faces the living room opening into a master bedroom and a guest bedroom with an attached bath and walk-in closet.
A curved staircase and lift take you to the first floor with three bedrooms and a lounge, while one of the standard bedrooms links to a study room opening to the terrace. The basement, accessed by the staircase and an external staircase from the back of the house, holds a store, shared gym, bath, library, and study. The secondary entrance to the basement leads to the servant quarter, isolated from the rest of the basement, with three twin bedrooms, a living area, a kitchenette, laundry, and a bath. It completes the imagery of a classic and elegant outlook with a functional setting.
